The photo in this post was taken during a time in my life when I didn’t have the energy to smile, or to pose. This image captured the truth of a moment that has taken me over ten years to reconcile, and finally accept as part of who I am.
Sharing this particular chapter in my life is one of the most difficult, and terrifying things I’ve ever done, but I’m doing this for reasons that are bigger than my own fear.
